Surgical Extractions & Anesthesia
General dentists sometimes extract teeth and some do more complicated cases but generally that isn’t common. Also, you must be licensed by the State of New York to do conscious sedation, whether that is by pills or I.V.. You also need to be licensed for General Anesthesia by the State to do deep I.V. sedation or general anesthesia, which includes the permission to do conscious sedation as well. Make sure your doctor is licensed! If your doctor does not have a license to do this, that is illegal and also potentially dangerous.
At Ithaca Oral Surgery and Implant Center, Dr. Noren is fully licensed for General Anesthesia which includes Conscious Sedation, both I.V. and with pills.
